With SnagIt you can remove sections from anywhere in the image, close the orphaned parts together to remake the whole, strip out, reduce top,sides,bottom to make a new size, all in the one session. With shutter all you have is crop!8
SnagIt is the best. Unfortunately only works with windows and osx. Shutter has the x11 limitation which is unfortunate as I use Wayland. Also I have to use a screenshot tool with anotations and markup mulitple times a day. Shutter unfortunately doesn't come close. Devs please add wayland support and also checkup snaggit for implementation ideas.0
