Deivedux I may not be exactly, or as good as GlassWire, but as a lightweight, free and open-source alternative it definitely provides a very decent and totally unbiased firewall, giving maximum protection to the end-user over which apps and services have access to the open internet.

    2. A firewall protects your computer against unwanted guests from the Internet. But who protects your private data from being sent out? Little Snitch does!
      Little Snitch vs GlassWire opinions
Most users think Little Snitch is a great alternative to GlassWire.
Little Snitch doesn't provide detailed statistics on a longer time base but is more intended for real time. It is however a great application and I would call it a "reverse firewall".

williamson It's Open Source and the internals are much better documented, no security tool is perfect but at least here if you're a professional you can see how to works to know what it is and is not capable of. However with GlassWire they just give generic help desk responses whenever you ask questions, either because they don't know or are just trying to cover it up for marketing.
