NetLimiter is an ultimate Internet traffic control and monitoring tool designed for Windows. You can use NetLimiter to set download/upload transfer rate limits for applications or even single connection and monitor their Internet traffic.
Along with this unique feature, Netlimiter offers comprehensive set of internet statistical tools. It includes real-time traffic measurement and long-term per-application Internet traffic statistics.

Has a fatal flaw; will block all I/O for over 0.5 seconds once every few minutes.
This means any realtime stuff like games, movies, music, will get screwed up. Also causes UI stalls.
I have bee wondering for YEARS what was causing this and yes, it's DEFINITELY NetLimiter...
This is still one of the best apps out there, but this fatal flaw is unforgivable...
The fact that there has been no update to this app since 2010 isn't promising either...
Will look for an alternative...
I realize this is old, but as it is the first negative that will pop-up with this product, I feel inclined to comment.
The problem you are describing here has not happened to me (yet).
It is quite likely the problem was fixed long times ago (as it is 2019, and I'd disregard that review, until further proof).
A lot of applications frankly need to have their speeds controlled, or just flat out blocked. I used to use Glasswire, when it was still back in the beta (when the functionalities were free). Now with this, I can do just the same.
Also has a dark theme. I love dark themes.
Fully featured firewall. Version 4 brings even more features.
It has been the best software I tried. It has not given me compatibility problems like others. It can be used as a firewall and the graphics help control traffic better. Very good.
Version 4 Final Release is out now and looks really promising. However, I am no network pro, so I would be interested in comments about this new version.
A very good and functional program, but $30 (USD) seems a little pricey for something that's update about once or twice a year.
