What is AliasVault?
AliasVault is an end-to-end encrypted password and alias manager that protects your privacy by creating alternative identities, passwords and email addresses for every website you use. Keeping your personal information private.
Discover how AliasVault revolutionizes your digital identity with powerful features designed for your privacy and convenience.
- Password Manager: AliasVault allows you to store all your passwords in one place, and access them from any device.
- Alias Generator: AliasVault allows you to generate unique aliases (identities) that you can use to sign up for different services, keeping your real identity hidden.
- Email Server: AliasVault features a built-in email server that allows you to create unique email addresses and receive emails straight in AliasVault. No need for third-party email providers.
- End-To-End Encryption: Your data is fully encrypted on your local device before backed up online. Your master password is never transmitted to the server. No one, except you, can see inside your vault.
- Cloud or self-hosted: You can use the official AliasVault cloud service, or self-host AliasVault on your own server or a cloud provider of your choice. Giving you control of your data.
- Free and Open-Source: AliasVault is free and open-source software, released under the MIT license. It is built with transparency in mind, and its source code is freely available on GitHub to review.
Your privacy. Protected.
In an ideal world you don't need AliasVault, in reality you do. Many companies track your online activity without your permission or knowledge, creating shadow profiles of you. Even the most reputable companies can fall victim to data breaches, causing your personal information to fall into the wrong hands. AliasVault helps keep you safe online by letting you control how websites see and track you.
- Every website, a new alias, email address and password
- When your data is shared, you know which service caused it
- Only use your real identity and email address when it's absolutely necessary, keeping your private information private

Comments and Reviews
I chose AliasVault because it combines a password manager with email aliases in one place. My real email stays private, spam is under control, and everything works offline (unlike some other password managers). Simple, secure, and EU-based.
