AliasVault 0.29 released with full vault archive imports, improved autofill and UX updates

AliasVault 0.29 is now available as the latest update to this privacy-focused, end-to-end encrypted password and email alias manager. With this update, users can import full vault exports from 1Password, Bitwarden, and Proton Pass, including attachments and custom fields. This makes transitioning to AliasVault simpler for those using established password managers.

Addressing mobile workflows, autofill on iOS and Android has been improved. Now, if AliasVault cannot find a matching credential during autofill, it prompts the user to link a website or application URL to an existing credential. This update streamlines future autofill interactions, ensuring credentials are matched accurately after the first correction.

The browser extension has also been refined. Enhancements include better detection of form fields, which reduces autofill errors, a more reliable two-factor authentication (2FA) autofill flow, and improved Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) code prompts, helping users access the right codes for specific accounts.

On iOS devices, users now have the option to restrict copy actions to the local clipboard or allow use of the universal clipboard, which syncs across Apple devices. For self-hosted deployments and all users, the release delivers additional user experience improvements and general enhancements across supported platforms.
