By using a workaround with Windows Task Scheduler, you can make the free version of Ninite update your software, just like the commercial version. Just set up Ninite to run once a month by using the Scheduled Tasks tool in Window's control panel. Since Ninite gets all of its installers off the internet, the installers are always the newest version, even though your scheduled task will be using the same copy of Ninite over and over again. Ninite automatically detects whether an app has the latest version, and it will only download and install programs that need to be updated. Wow, so convenient! :O

Ninite is incredibly useful. I had to do a full restore on my old Windows desktop yesterday, and afterwards, Ninite saved me at least half an hour of downloading apps, installing apps, and trying to remember more apps that needed downloading and installing. When you buy a new computer, or reset your old one to factory settings, don't forget Ninite.
