Does a great job finding everything with an available update. It's very fast, and has useful options like "snooze" and "ignore." Well worth the price.

This is a stellar app. I have it set to run at the same time every day, so any update notifications are waiting for me when I sit down at my computer. It's the first thing I do on my computer daily. Apple releases a new macOS every year, and many developers, both small and large, are often behind Apple's update curve. This app is GREAT and it does the same thing for a very, very low one time purchase price. What is not to love here?
I used AppFresh until it went kaput. Then started using MacUpdate Desktop and was paying the annual fee, then they upped it to only a 6 month cover for a price that used to before 12 months. It's just crazy. MacUpdate Desktop was also slowing down my computer and using large resources once I stopped paying the pro fee. Pretty sure they are trying to force you to pay the subscription. I am very happy that I got this to replace that junk. Now if only I can get MacUpdate Desktop off my computer. Won't let me delete it, says it's running, even though I turned off start on start up, quit the app and the menu app. It's making me mad. I had read they had started putting adware in their downloads if you use the free version. That is sneaky and just wrong.

I couldn't be happier with MacUpdater - it finds WAY more updates than e.g. CleanMyMac, which I also own a license for and even notifies me of updates to Kernel extensions like MacFuse. Games in Apps like the Steam, GOG or Epic App stores aren't supported but I am fine with that - they aren't system critical or prone to viruses or backdoor attacks as far as I know
If I was a first time Mac buyer I would recommend getting this app first. It knows about updates to apps in the literal Mac OS App store from Apple earlier than the App Store App itself shows you a badge for updates and links you directly to the pages of the apps where you can, surprisingly, hit the update button to get an update
Well worth the money

I have to be very careful not to update the system software too soon, so as not to break compatibility with these third-party plugins running within Logic Pro X.
MacUpdater (Pro version) has an audio plugin update notification option! This feature is literally indispensable for music production and, to my knowledge, is unique to MacUpdater. In many cases, MacUpdater has notified me of updates before the developers have posted them. I would offer small suggestions for improvements, but I don’t have any—it's a perfect Mac utility application.
I love this app. I use it every single day. Reasonable pricing, fast support.
