    • Protonmail is free, open-source, encrypted (more private). Lacks: calendar & good contacts feature, but these are in the pipeline. Protonmail cannot by design data-mine your software for it's own profit; Gmail makes it's money by violating your privacy that way. JohnFastmanDec 2016 • 20 agrees and 6 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Protonmail is encrypted, has a (limited but not so much) free version, is open source and user friendly Guest • Apr 2018 • 0 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • ProtonMail is wonderful. It's intended for professional and small-scale personal use though. Free accounts only get 500 mb storage, so it's not an all-purpose email platform like Gmail. TheCEOofDoodleCoJun 2017 • 2 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • The only issue of ProtonMail is slow development of new features. Everything except this is awesome. Support is efficient, clear and quick, the best I've found anywhere, yet. xplosionmindFeb 2020 Disagree   Agree
    • An Absolutely Perfect fix and permanent replacement to the lack of security and privacy that Gmail Offers. GMAIL TRACKS YOUR EVERY EMAIL. With ProtonMail every Message is encrypted so that only you and the message receiver are able to view the message. Guest • Jul 2018 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • The safety is the number one reason. The features you will get, some will cost a very little money (as a student I think its totally affordable) for example; End-to-End Encryption, make the emails with a timer disappear and no need for email or phone number to sign up. mirstilOct 2019 Disagree   Agree

    • I've tried some encrypted emails to replace Gmail, it turned out that Tutanota is perfect. All services accepted it without any problems, all messages arrived fast and the free plan gives 1GB of space. Also, the paid plans are generous and cheap. marriemullerDec 2017 • 6 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • This is a very good free client. It gives you lots of functionality even at no cost. Guest • Jan 2018 • 2 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Does not support POP/IMAP, you will not be able to use it with Thunderbird or another email client. Guest • Jul 2019 • 12 agrees and 4 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Tutanota is a great email provider with very good encryption (it uses end-to-end encryption like Signal – i.e. they cannot read your emails/gife them to the government, Gmail can!) and they don't sell any data. It is also very easy to use, it has a very nice app, a desktop client and a web client. There is really no reason why you wouldn't want to use it :) justinterestedJan 2019 • 5 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • Tutanota is the best choice, because it is simple and run by an awesome team. Even the Premium prices are very affordable. onuniJan 2017 • 6 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Tutanota is a good Gmail replacement for most of the same reasons Protonmail is: Your email is stored encrypted on Tutanota servers in a way that neither they nor any potential hackers can decipher it. This means your emails can't be scanned to profile you and sell your private information for profit, which is how Gmail makes its money. Tutanota also enables encrypted email communication which Gmail does not. It's user friendly and more features are on the way. JohnFastmanDec 2016 • 8 agrees and 3 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • Zoho delivers everything GMail does + more! If you setup a free business account you have awesome spam control capabilities. + The sending IP address of Zoho Mail (135.84.80.217) is listed on none, *none* (0 of 130) DNSBL (DNS Blacklist)! While the sending IP addess of Gmail (209.85.128.173) is listed on 8/130 Spam Filter Lists, because Gmail is being misused by a lot of Spamers! This easily results into your Email NOT getting received at your destination!!! I am speaking from experience. Wagn3rAug 2017 • 5 agrees and 2 disagrees Disagree   Agree
