Overall the website is a bit hard to navigate, and the process for making an account is a pain. However, I'm rating based on their values and the services offered. Some don't require this type of registration or go through a different registration workflow so they're easier. Them being really into no-logging or minimal logging is nice.

Also, not hosted in the USA and it's their own hardware. Rare to see.

Comments and Reviews

Comment summary: Disroot is valued for its open-source, privacy-focused services like email and cloud storage, with users praising its ad-free experience and independent hosting. However, many encounter difficulties with the complex, restrictive signup process, frequent registration closures, and navigation challenges. Some criticize its political stance and strict policies, while others appreciate the minimal logging and transparency. Usability improvements are frequently suggested.

Everyone needs a bit of rest. Check back on monday

I visited it on monday !

Could it be a time zone issue? the time was monday in your area but not monday morning or later on the disroot team location?

They also had some trouble because microsoft blocked their emails so they disabled registeration (microsoft later unblocked them), the sign in form seem to work fine now (I tried it on a wednesday).

Just tried to register - got an email that said they'd get back to me in "a few days."

Every password you try in creating an email account seems to be too weak

Literally, it is trash.

  1. I visited on Saturday. Message: "we need to take a rest, return in week".
  2. I visited on Tuesday (2025/June/10), registering. They ask me a long, long, long, response in "your favorite meal". They says: "ok, I will see your process in 48 hs".
  3. I visited today, Monday (2025/June/23). Of course, my account SHOULD exist. But my log-in was rejected. ¿Uh? I register my account newly, without errors (my account didn't exist and I don't have error mails from them in my email). The process ends with: "I will see it in 48hs". Obviously, a joke.

I will show screenshoots:
