Deivedux I may not be exactly, or as good as GlassWire, but as a lightweight, free and open-source alternative it definitely provides a very decent and totally unbiased firewall, giving maximum protection to the end-user over which apps and services have access to the open internet.

edwinyzh - doesn't slow down my pc, and does what it's supposed to do, not more, not less. - allow me to block all programs and then whitelist by picking a window and a .exe file. - I want want it to have the ability to prompt me for the first time a program is connecting to the Internet, so that I don't have to whilelist manually. - And it's free! (actually I'm willing to pay if it's not).

It's simply not a user friendly alternative to Glasswire. It might technically have some of the same features but it's a different kind of user experience altogether
