DeaDBeeF is a great alternative to AIMP because it supports the classical Winamp/AIMP narrow vertical interface. It is also extremely lightweight and consumes very little CPU. Add to that the fact that you can fully control the interface layout: do you need a visualization? where do you want your track progress bar? do you want an extra button for any of the player's functions? do you want do rename any and all visible elements of the interface? DeaDBeeF is the answer!

Rhythmbox is more similar to iTunes than it is to AIMP.

A lot of the features feel the same, but if you liked AIMP for the album view, you're not going to get that here.
