Clementine looks ugly and dated. It doesn't have a variety of themes for the GUI (skins), for the icons, plugins, color changing, there's no complex equalizer, no sound effects and audio convertion like AIMP. It lacks a lot of things and shouldn't be compared to AIMP.

One of the very few (or the only) player for Linux that supports the same narrow vertical layout, with a window-wide progress bar.

xvhpqg DeaDBeeF is a great alternative to AIMP because it supports the classical Winamp/AIMP narrow vertical interface. It is also extremely lightweight and consumes very little CPU. Add to that the fact that you can fully control the interface layout: do you need a visualization? where do you want your track progress bar? do you want an extra button for any of the player's functions? do you want do rename any and all visible elements of the interface? DeaDBeeF is the answer!
