GIMP vs Adobe Photoshop opinions
It is probably the closest alternative to Adobe Photoshop, at least from those I know. For me personally too complicated but if you know how to use it, you can do many things you can do with Photoshop too. What I also noticed is that it loads very quickly on Linux.Gimp contain absolutely all what is required in 99% of cases for picture manipulationIf you area already familiar with Photoshop, GIMP is almost completely alien, even though it can do pretty much anything Photoshop can. It just does things very differently. On the other hand, if this is the first professional editor you use, I think the learning curve is as steep or as lean as Photoshop.Anipe Very hard to learn and lacks many features; overatedimoterdaniel Gimp is indeed a great free alternative to Photoshopsaadnasir8009 GIMP is easy to use but it is limited.RinRin I used Adobe at first but when they started charging subscription fees for photoshop I tried out Gimp. I thought it was pretty much the same back then....though, it was about 10 years ago. - Krita is a professional Free and open source (FOSS) painting program. Krita vs Adobe Photoshop opinions
I like Krita as an alternative to Photoshop because it's open source and free from the tyranny of Adobe Subscriptionsbest open source raster program out there in terms of digital paintings goes, and in some areas even better than Photoshop.Krita is for painting, not photo editing. It's free, yet has almost all the features Photoshop hasFor artists using photoshop it is the best alternative.krita is sketching and drawing photoshop is a photo editorWas born as a sketching app, now it includes all the Gimp features. Plus new features recently introduced (for example Smart clone, that acts as the content aware brush in Photoshop). In my opinion it is much faster and useful than Gimp. Can be a valid Phototshop replacement. - MyPaint is a fast painting program with an emphasis on full-screen use. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it.
