Scribus is not an alternative to Acrobat DC. It's just mediocre software to edit PDF's. If we're giving as an alternative just because it can open simple documents then Apple Preview is more powerful for this task. It's a great software to create magazines, but it's not intended to edit PDF's that's the reality.
