    Obsidian does technically provide some similar features to Typora, namely a live-preview markdown editor. However it's not really a text editor like Typora, more a managed note-taking system. You could not really say "I have this markdown file, I'll edit it with Obsidian".

    Very similar to Typora, but open source. Moreover it seems that Typora will not be free when the beta ends, while Mark Text will be free forever.

    Design is greate and OpenSource is still a big advantage about Typora.

    HOWEVER, Typora is file-based, whereas Beaver Notes isn't! That is a BIG difference between booth programs! I whould say the concepts of how the informations are saved is so diffenrent that this booth programms are NOT COMPARABLE.
