Mark Text vs Typora opinions
ScenicMarathonVery similar to Typora, but open source. Moreover it seems that Typora will not be free when the beta ends, while Mark Text will be free forever.
Good Markdown editor, but noticeably slower than Typora with large documents
CrepeDeLaCrepeFree and open-source, plus, it's seems more optimized (on Windows) than Typora.
daacostaFair but not completely. First of all one should be able to number and reference the equations in the text. The second thing is that I would like to be able to use a much darker and larger font (I figured out the latter but not the former)... Fantastic tool.
it's basically typora feature to feature with some more. besides it is way more polished and it's default themes are better. the table and image support seems more native and the tabs are less buggy, at least on mac os where the window size changes when you go from multiple tabs to one tab. and renaming a file doesn't reset when you switch tabs. It's implementation of latex is better but it at the trade off of not having syntax highlighting
EtchyLitchiReally looks like to Typora, but free.

Zettlr vs Typora opinions
ScenicMarathonZettlr has almost every feature of Typora, but it can do even more. An example is the support to hyperlink to other notes in the same directory (so that it is possible to implement Zettelkasten).
taylregriffinZettlr is similar to Typora in interface and function, but has better features and is open source.
more feature rich, in active development, one can link files (to reference things) and open-source (Typora is not)
