Alternatives to Synergy for Mac with any license

  • Barrier

Cross-platform software for sharing a single mouse and keyboard between multiple computers at a workstation.

    • Is free and open source, works perfectly between my Linux machine and Windows laptop, other than entering an IP and dragging a monitor icon, practically no setup was needed Guest • Apr 2020 • 2 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • The key draw of Synergy was the true multi-platform approach ie BSD Linux mac and win are supported, which only this one can boast of. Being a fork of synergy itself a fork of cosmicSynergy this is no suprise but this team DO have binaries/installers ready to download though it is not updated often. idlesHandJun 2018 • 4 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree

  • Logitech Options

Customisation of Logitech mouse or keyboard settings, device information, additional functionality such as sharing input devices over multiple computers.

    • Logitech options is a hardware keyboard and mouse switching, requires specialized hardware, paired with both devices. It does nothing over the network, like synergy. All options does is detect when you get to the border, and changes the pairing of your mouse and keyboard to a second machine. If you don't have the mouse and keyboard, it doesn't work. • Not even close to providing the same functions as Synergy. Guest • Jun 2020 Disagree   Agree
