What is Beamer App?

Beamer shares one keyboard and mouse or trackpad between Macs, Windows PCs and Linux computers on the same local network. Push the pointer through a chosen screen edge to move to another computer, or switch with a key on macOS and Windows. Each computer keeps its own display.

Text and images move with the clipboard when you switch; files do not. Mac and Windows shortcuts are mapped between systems. You can choose crossing zones, adjust the pressure needed to cross and change the visual effect.

Computers pair using a six-digit code and communicate directly over encrypted connections. There is no account, subscription or relay server. An optional update check contacts GitHub.

Beamer is free software under GPL-3.0. Linux is supplied as a Flatpak: GNOME has been tested, KDE Plasma is experimental, and X11 is not yet verified on real hardware. Windows secure desktop prompts and lock screens cannot be controlled.
