Gab is a new website and is already, in my opinion, better than Twitter. All it needs is more users, and more and more people from various walks of life and ideologies have been finding it far less restrictive than mainstream sites like Facebook and Twitter. You can also customize your own experience, muting users and even words that you do not wish to encounter. They put the "social" back into social networking by giving us users ultimate power over what we say and what we see on Gab.

While Gab isn't designed specifically for conservatives, it does appeal to right-wing folks. So it should be noted that the community may not suit everyone. According to Wikipedia :

The site has drawn criticism for providing a platform for users banned or suspended from other services for violating their terms of service [...]

It has been called the "Twitter for racists" by Salon, and was described as "hate-filled echo chamber of racism and conspiracy theories" by The Guardian.

Whether you agree with theses claims or not, it may be a valuable thing to know before to dig further.

This is a bit less like Facebook, and quite a bit more like Twitter with some Facebook-like behaviors baked in. All things considered, it's a GREAT choice for axing Twitter. Not as good, though "okay" for Facebook. Other solutions are more "Facebook".
