    • It's a great social network! I experience more user-engagement here than on Facebook, and posts from people you're subscribed to shows in chronological order. That means you won't miss a single post if you take your time to scroll through your newsfeed! Minds is still evolving, and It's a joy to behold. Guest • Dec 2018 Disagree   Agree

    • I get my notifications and the site doesn't discriminate against me for talking about my rights, the way I live and my patriotism. Guest • Apr 2018 Disagree   Agree
    • Minds is the best alternative to Facebook because they allow Freedom of speech and don't censor people Guest • Dec 2017 Disagree   Agree
    • Thanks to Mind's organic reach and no censorship policy it's now easier to get an audience on it than it is on Facebook. It's more stable for users and matches the features on other sites. All while being transparent. pabloalcrOct 2017 • 1 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Open source, allows users to monetize their content, and one can easily earn points with posts and other interactions that can be used to boost their content. No censorship and no spying are HUGE improvements over Facebook rustysullivan1Oct 2017 Disagree   Agree

    • Minds is an open source alternative to Facebook that values freedom of speech above all else. They do not censor post or videos because they disagree with them. Minds has a built in blogging system as well as video uploads. Best of all is Minds ability to use points to buy views for your post, enabling self-advertising on the site! Guest • Mar 2017 • 6 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Freedom of expression without fear of politically correct backlash from the site owners. FB removes people and groups based on political views. erikwardsMar 2017 • 7 agrees and 2 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Not just Facebook but Twitter as well. What I see unfolding in front of my very eyes is an evolutionary process still in beta that is already much superior to both of the above. Complex but clean, fast growing yet still user friendly and last but not least, the community feels real. They talk about important things instead of pretending to be celebs. I sense an intellectual depth ib the Minds community. Cheers Minds!! AJ JPS andrew_jjpsApr 2017 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Minds is an open source social media platformed developed by real people for people. End to end encrypted chat for your privacy, and zero censorship. Besides that, MINDS has a great community. Remember, great minds use MINDS! Guest • Mar 2017 • 2 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • It's one of the better self promotion/likes fishers out there. Compared to having no fucking option to do so in FB outside of promotional pages, and its anti-censorship angle, it's actually pretty good. Phone app needs work. Guest • Mar 2017 • 3 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • It's where inquisitive & creative minds come to play. Guest • Jul 2017 Disagree   Agree
    • It is like Facebook Twitter and YouTube have a three-way baby joshuaandersonJul 2017 Disagree   Agree
    • Minds enables growth of connections to occur quickly if you are highly involved on the site and produce good content, when taking into consideration the quantity of users on the site. Boosting of content and profile/channel views can be achieved (via a points system) and not merely bought. Minds also clearly rewards users with points for using the social media site itself, whether in accessing the site each hour or in uploading rich media content such as graphics or videos, unlike Facebook. Guest • Mar 2017 • 3 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Censorship free, no enforced political ideology beyond the preservation of free speech, promotes intelligent discussion, has absolutely nothing to do with Zuckerberg and, unlike Facebook, you can leave if you want. Guest • Mar 2017 • 4 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • It has a thumbs down, which FB users asked for but never got, instead, they got the already existent and simple to do emojis. Minds has so far been a place that I am interested in checking in on because the content is diverse in the way newsfeeds used to be before filtering. I find new content and opinions with each visit to the site and the creator is active in the community, sharing, upvoting, and updating users frequently. BadBlackSheepMar 2017 • 1 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • It's an open and secure platform with an amazing community and great ideas for a safe future. hous3m4sterMar 2017 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • It's social, it has a easy menu, that's easy to use and see for even pc idiots. It's idiot safe, basically. Facebook is the opposite. AlternativeToCheeseApr 2017 • 1 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree

  • Diaspora

Diaspora is a federated social networking service, designed to be a more privacy-aware alternative to Facebook . Share what you want, with whom you want.

    • Decentralized federated social networks are the only hope for a future internet where discussion is free and private. I doubt most people will use Diaspora or Mastodon, but hopefully the more privacy-conscious of us will help it grow and keep it alive. lazysami00Apr 2019 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • You choose where your data is hosted. Your stream can be refined by aspects (categories of contacts) or followed tags. Posts can be formatted with markdown. There are no advertisements! the_real_dvs1Apr 2018 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • It is like email, you can choose your provider (pod) and share with everyone! Guest • Mar 2018 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Diaspora's key advantage is that it's based on open source software that multiple servers can run. It does not put your private information, your likes, your contacts and your photos in the hands of one corporation who then use it to increase their own private profits by selling your privacy. Diaspora is much smaller though. The UI feels more like Google Plus than Facebook. JohnFastmanDec 2016 • 9 agrees and 2 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • Mastodon is decentralized and open to all kinds of people. It is closer to Twitter than it is to Facebook. It doesn't seem to attract the alt right like other Facebook alternatives do. I love the interface. It is very well structured and even though you join up for only one instance, you can interact with the whole world! Guest • Apr 2018 • 5 agrees and 3 disagrees Disagree   Agree
