Brave is very fast and good, but Firefox has a large number of add-ons such as video downloaders, ads blockers, persona, etc.

ngl firefox isnt good in the sense that it runs off its own engine and has many privacy features disabled by default, use something like librewolf if you're going for privacy but just use brave if you need basic web browsing

Firefox runs off its own engine. Most browsers use the Chromium engine, which is what most websites are built for. The browser is slow, and most pages don't even load properly because of this.

The most privacy-oriented browser there is. However, due to its learning curve and different setup, it's easier to use by the power user. If you don't want to learn how to use Tor, go with Firefox. Brave collects your data and displays you ads.

Every feature Brave spends hundreds advertising to you is present here, minus the crypto and the sketchiness of the Brave brand. Since both are chromium based, Vivaldi is the better option. Been following the project since the early beginnings!

Reason I don't think Vivaldi is comparable to Brave. Unfortunately I have plenty of time to read up on websites and almost All the top privacy tech sites and others have stated Vivaldi applies user ID when you first sign up. Similar to bing. Myself I'm computer illiterate, so I read everything I can find on interested item. But some of these people I've trusted their advice on different items, and so far they been "Bullseye accurate. Similar to FireFox, it does NOT share any information, it's basically like FireFox on steroids (in a good way). I personally use Waterfox and I think it is really good.

@jamesboyd is incorrect with their comment, both brave and edge are based on google's chromium framework. The part that makes these browsers incomparable is that Brave is privacy focused, and Edge is Microsoft's. While it is an improvement over Chrome because they fixed a lot of the RAM issues that chrome has, overall it is not privacy focused in the least. There is also the problem that it is proprietary, unlike brave, making it impossible for things like security audits to be performed.

Edge is not comparable to Brave. Brave was built upon Firefox, Edge is based on Chromium. Edge is not privacy aimed, whereas Brave is.
