Notion adds AI Meeting Notes, enterprise search, and model picker
Notion has expanded its AI suite with 'AI Meeting Notes', combining meeting recording, transcription, and summarization with the ability to take manual notes simultaneously. Similar to alternatives like Granola or Superlist’s recently launched new meeting tool, Notion’s version stands out by supporting over a dozen languages including Chinese, Spanish, Swedish and German, all within the Notion platform. Users can apply context-specific templates such as Auto, Sales Call, Standup, and Team Meeting to their summaries, with the feature currently available on macOS, with mobile support planned. It is activated by typing “/meet” in any Notion page after confirming participant consent.
The company also introduced 'Enterprise Search', allowing users to search content across Notion and external apps like Slack, Google Workspace, and GitHub using natural language. Further, the new 'Research Mode' gathers information from both Notion databases and online sources for deep query tasks, mirroring Deep Research in OpenAI's ChatGPT or Google Gemini but with tighter integration to workspace content.
A model picker now lets users select between Notion AI’s chatbot, GPT-4.1, or Claude 3.7 Sonnet for general queries at no extra charge, with external models unable to access sensitive workspace data. Notion also updated its Business plan, increasing the price from $15 to $20 per user per month to include full access to advanced AI features, including the previously mentioned models. Current AI subscribers retain their benefits and Free or Plus plan users will receive limited trial access.

I HATE AI WITH A PASSION
As do I. It's damn near all you hear about these days, and it's shoehorned into nearly everything. At least I run Linux and don't have to put up with that crap in my OS.
