Notion rolls out v3.7 with team-wide AI agent skills, nested agent calls & Agents iOS app

Notion has released version 3.7, introducing a suite of AI-focused updates headlined by a new agent skills' feature designed to let teams capture and share their AI know-how. Skills are reusable instructions that teach Notion's AI agents how a given team works: for example, generating a monthly business review in a team's preferred format, or critiquing a document according to a manager's standards. Alongside the feature, Notion is launching a shared skills' library, allowing organizations to store skills in a Notion database and distribute them across teams, ensuring everyone stays on the latest version.

The release also expands Notion's increasingly agent-centric platform. Custom agents can now delegate to other custom agents as sub-agents, each carrying its own instructions, context, access permissions, and model, enabling more complex multistep workflows. A new Agent SDK has entered public beta for Business and Enterprise customers, letting developers continue agent conversations from external applications and stream results back. Notion is also going mobile with its agentic push, launching a dedicated Notion Agents iOS app that puts “1,000 agents in your pocket”, supporting voice, photos, and task delegation on the move.

Among other additions, version 3.7 brings an embedded option for placing custom agents directly into documents, API-based agent insights covering credit usage and run statuses, and a new developer section in the sidebar for managing workers and connections. Notion also reported a 50% speed improvement for its AI search feature. Several of the enterprise-oriented capabilities, including the Agent SDK and enhanced model controls, remain exclusive to Business and Enterprise plans, with the company signaling more agent-related features are “still cooking”.
