Google Chrome OS is a Linux-based operating system designed by Google that uses the Google Chrome web browser as its principal user interface, so it works primarily with web applications.

Google Chrome is really good, but different,... it's not like standard system and is unable to run offline apps (well, they added support for debians app for some devices, but still there is a lot of devices without support fot it), so it's more for online things and just Office and Internet than as solid system for all stuff even offline.
Great for someone who only uses Chrome and Google products, and maybe a few lightweight linux applications. Security is great, provided you don't mind Google having all of the data on it.

Solus is the most accessible free OS (Linux distribution) that I've ever tested. For a beginner it is easy to use on a daily basis as all necessary drivers are already included. For my part every software I needed to download were already included in the built-in Software Center and easy to find there. The interface is smooth and looks beautiful. Minimalistic. I would definitely recommend this OS the most to anyone who never used anything else than Windows
