I love Deepin this is my personal fav linux distro! And I love how different it is to others like the settings app how it is not a window it pops out on the side! 10 out of 10!
Hi SecurityChecker. Interesting name you have, given this problem: Deepin is not secure. It makes unencrypted connections to known Chinese trackers via its app store without user consent. This means someone in China is probably monitoring your system. See the links above for more information.
If you're so very madly in love with the desktop environment, you should know that it's possible to install it on most other Linux distros (e.g. Antergos, Manjaro, Ubuntu, etc.). Some distros even have a version with it directly for distribution (e.g. Manjaro). At least that way you'd have a secure OS underneath the GUI. However, I'd stick well away from anything Deepin-related.

To this date no one has proven that Deepin spies on its users. Those "unencrypted connections" were app store analytics that didn't send more than some basic parameters like screen size, browser and other user agent information.

Deepin has been reported on too many occasions that certain user data, notably on application usage, was sent to servers in China. Furthermore, it is important to note that this is one of the only distributions that require users to agree to an EULA, confirming the collection of certain user data (It's the only Linux distribution to ask for such a thing, as far as I know). The only positive point is the rather successful design. It's not enough to consider Deepin a good-quality linux distribution.
Deepin is quite slow in updating even the most important packages. Not good for my usage. Might be good for you...
It's based in China, so not sure it can be trusted due to current news. Not to be political, but just saying, be careful what you use.
Man have i tested Linux, like many people we keep trying and trying looking and looking for some thing else, well i stop here. YES HERE ...including the feed back it give to its makers letting theme know its been installed, Or for some NONE fraudulent purposes, WELL that's ok with me because so does Microsoft ,google, apple, etc etc just like someone else said in here, but there comments were removed which i find malicious intent to put off anyone like my self to installing it, well my search for my type of Linux is STOPS here, p's at last ... :-) :-) :-) :-)
Beware! Spyware!
The app store of Deepin 15.5 makes unencrypted connections to known Chinese trackers, which is a serious security and privacy risk. This occurs approximately 20 minutes after boot-up without warning and without the user's consent.

the deepin store has been now rewritten without cnzz
