It has a very specific ideal and political side. It tries to hide it by "creating a desktop for the masses, for educational purposes", especially on third world countries but has an ideology behind, it's not neutral, same as the GNOME project, somewhat questionable.

They want a distro for the masses, to use on third world countries, but they've chosen a desktop environment that is very heavy and uses a lot of CPU and RAM. Do they think that in third world countries everyone has a i7, from tenth generation with 16 GB of RAM and GTX 1080 to run it?
