Alternatives to TeamViewer for Windows with any license

  • AnyDesk

AnyDesk is remote desktop software that is free for personal use. Business use requires a subscription.

    • The fact it seems to be running a native Linux binary is excellent, but it also runs in Fedora 25 (which Chrome Remote Desktop still doesn't support) and runs really well. vonneutonFeb 2017 • 13 agrees and 4 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Same uncomplicated and simply working remote desktop application as one day was TeamViewer. And at best: Newer versions can connect to older versions - which TeamViewer always enforced to enforce everybody to upgrade. mwildamMar 2018 • 2 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • very nice! lightweight, fast, portable, free, and great quality. thats what i was looking for it. Guest • Dec 2017 • 2 agrees and 2 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Minimal installation required. Fast connection. Does not require to open ports Guest • Jan 2018 • 1 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • AnyDesk is a great replacement for TeamViewer and while it does not have traditional address book at does store the computers you connect to and you can ever store the password for easy access. Overall it might be slightly less stable than TeamViewer but it improves with each minor version. I have used it over a year and find the speed better than TeamViewer. • Because it is the most similar to teamviewer and generally technically superior ryangreenApr 2017 • 1 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Stable, and the portable version does not start a bunch of services every time the computer starts like team viewer. barrenowlOct 2017 • 2 agrees and 2 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • The free version of AnyDesk does not allow you to store a list of remote computers that one regularly connects to. Also, there is a 15 hour per month limit on connect time. That's way too restrictive. Otherwise it seemed like it was going to be perfect. Guest • Oct 2017 • 6 agrees and 6 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • An excellent alternative and great competitor in the Remote Desktop market. They have a pretty solid architecture that easily competes with strong competitors. It is still in beta and have come across some bugs, but nothing to stray me away. I am willing to bench test and provide excellent feedback. Guest • Aug 2016 • 4 agrees and 4 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • speed, simplicity, free, all functionality included that Tmv can do; yet, has a minor glitch or two Guest • Nov 2017 • 0 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Best free remote desktop software on the market. Works exceptionally well with low bandwidth connections and supports the usual features, like file transfer, clipboard and reverse connections. nomMay 2017 • 2 agrees and 3 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • The new version (4.1.x) is full of bugs (e.g. no list of computers, partially shown as online when not, keyboard does not cover all letters, etc.) Guest • Jun 2018 • 1 agrees and 2 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • It's the best alternative but lacks many of the features found in TeamViewer. If you're on a budget though, this will do in a pinch! ken_belangerJan 2017 • 12 agrees and 6 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • TeamViewer is much more than just a remote desktop connection, unattended access for example. Guest • Nov 2015 • 28 agrees and 24 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • It uses VP8 to stream your desktop which makes it more responsive and improves quality. 914ian914Feb 2018 Disagree   Agree

    • This is the best alternative to TeamViewer for those on a budget. Does pretty much everything TeamViewer can, with the exception of needing to open ports in your firewall. Since you can specify ports, it's not as vulnerable as one would think, simply use non standard ports and a very strong password. Guest • Apr 2017 • 9 agrees and 11 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • Unlike TeamViewer, it's not a centralized solution, dependant on servers owned by some company that might go out of business eventually, and contrary to what some people say, setting up VNC connections isn't complicated at all (inside the same subnet it's trivial, across NAT-ted subnets it only requires some port forwarding, voila, done). TeamViewer-like software should be taken into consideration only by computer-newbies in my opinion. AtoshiDec 2016 • 6 agrees and 13 disagrees Disagree   Agree
