Fast, simple, effective, reliable, fully featured (excepting audio transmission)
Great client for linux! Installed ultravnc server on windows server and used TightVNC client for linux client. Setting the client option for jpeg compression at 2 makes everything faster, though a little fuzzy.
HelloI am looking to administrate windows computers from my Linux computer avoiding such application like Teamviewer or in better word with a GNU licence or open licence. So I tried Ultra VNC on the windows side but I was desappointed: when I try to open a simple menu I don't see any time these menu on the linux computer and it require a lot of time for any update. So it is not possible for me to help the users.Certainly the configuration is not correct but I never found any good information to solve such problems. If some body has an idee I would appreciate any help.Regards.
Its possible to transfer files and clipboard content ( also non English characters) between client and server , and Tightvnc is the only tool that allows this commercially free , version 2.04 may-bee not as fast as team-viewer , but defiantly worthy substitute.
