It's totally transparent about what it does and it can handle any situation you get yourself into. I've had GitKraken die on me after I pruned dead branches because it was still referencing them for something. I don't think GitKraken is good for learning git or for people who like to work both in the command line and GUI.2

A lightweight, useful program. The UI isn't particularly pretty but it does what it's supposed to. Furthermore, it allows committing only specific lines, which is an important feature for me. Probably the best FOSS alternative for Linux. Not as fancy in terms of GUI, but still easy to use and it's much faster.0
