Comments about GitAhead as a Alternative to GitKraken Client
scratGreat UI, many features, user friendly, cross-platform and open-source + free to anybody.
1- Cross-platform
- Dark Theme
- Good licensing: It's a "copyfree" MIT-licensed open source application: thus no copyleft restrictions. Also no constructs of "freemium" at this moment of writing.
0jacekdobrzynieckiA fairly neat UI and opens repositories without a cinch, but unfortunately, the program lacks the option to commit only individual edited lines - you can only commit entire "hunks". A dealbreaker for me.

Comments about Git Extensions as a Alternative to GitKraken Client
carlin5It's totally transparent about what it does and it can handle any situation you get yourself into. I've had GitKraken die on me after I pruned dead branches because it was still referencing them for something. I don't think GitKraken is good for learning git or for people who like to work both in the command line and GUI.

jacekdobrzynieckiA lightweight, useful program. The UI isn't particularly pretty but it does what it's supposed to. Furthermore, it allows committing only specific lines, which is an important feature for me. Note that if you want to use it with GitHub, you'll want to learn how to enable SSH authentication: see https://github.com/git-cola/git-cola/issues/1112#issuecomment-782738748 for instructions.
03psilonProbably the best FOSS alternative for Linux. Not as fancy in terms of GUI, but still easy to use and it's much faster.
0Text-mode interface for Git.
