Great UI, many features, user friendly, cross-platform and open-source + free to anybody.1
- Dark Theme
- Good licensing: It's a "copyfree" MIT-licensed open source application: thus no copyleft restrictions. Also no constructs of "freemium" at this moment of writing.
A fairly neat UI and opens repositories without a cinch, but unfortunately, the program lacks the option to commit only individual edited lines - you can only commit entire "hunks". A dealbreaker for me.0

A lightweight, useful program. The UI isn't particularly pretty but it does what it's supposed to. Furthermore, it allows committing only specific lines, which is an important feature for me. Note that if you want to use it with GitHub, you'll want to learn how to enable SSH authentication: see https://github.com/git-cola/git-cola/issues/1112#issuecomment-782738748 for instructions.0
Probably the best FOSS alternative for Linux. Not as fancy in terms of GUI, but still easy to use and it's much faster.0
