Problem w/ clonezilla is no differential/incremental backup and no ability to browse the b/u for individual files.
Also, something like TI, Macrium, Paragon can be run WHILST using the OS. Clonezilla needs more of a standalone env, tho parted magic largely removes this last limitation.

Saved my life (ok, the computer's) a dozen times through backups (disk clones) that always work.

If you want an image this software rocks. Used it in Linux env, not Windows though.

Dear Sir,
I am new in Clonezilla live.
we have 40 machines all are 80 GB SATA Hdd. My source 80GB HDD is 50GB - Windows XP and 30GB - Fedora 17.

When i used cloned disk to disk using clonezilla live in beginners mode.

That means Source HDD - 80 GB and Destination HDD - 80GB.

Cloned successfully. The GRUB loaded correctly. When i enter Fedora 17 in GRUB menu its loaded successfully.
But When i enter Windows XP in GRUB menu the blinking cursor is displayed. not loaded properly.

i also tried fixboot, fixmbr same problem apperared.

What problem How to correct Windows XP.

Please reply.

Unlike Macrium Reflect, where you can backup a Windows partition, during you work with it, the partition to be imaged or cloned with CloneZilla has to be unmounted.

Since about 3 years I use Macrium Reflect Free Edition weekly for automated Drive C-backups with Windows XP and Vista 64 bit to the most full satisfaction and have restored the operating system succesfully already a few times. You can also restore single files or folders, but backup only the full drive C.
I like and recommend Macrium Reflect more than Ghost, which I have used 3 years before.

This is an awesome tool! I use it a lot.
It can backup over Samba, Ex. HDD, Internal HDD, and usb.
Livecd, small 110Mb<, very powerful, and have a lot of tools!
