Professional-grade 3D modeling, animation, rendering, and visual FX software used in films, TV, and games, featuring advanced tools, Bifrost effects, and a visual programming environment for intricate simulations.

There are many alternatives to Blender for Mac if you are looking for a replacement. The best Mac alternative is Autodesk Maya. It's not free, so if you're looking for a free alternative, you could try Wings 3D or Natron. If that doesn't suit you, our users have ranked more than 100 alternatives to Blender and loads of them are available for Mac so hopefully you can find a suitable replacement. Other interesting Mac alternatives to Blender are Cinema 4D, ZBrush, Armory 3D and Blockbench.

Wings 3D is a subdivision modeler inspired by Nendo and Mirai from Izware.
It is possible to assign materials, vertex color, UV coordinates and textures, but there will be improvements in those features before Wings goes 1.0.
There is no support in Wings for doing animations.

Simplistic modeling, excellent UV mapping interface, obj and gltf/glb export, great mouse interface.
Buggy but the best free and simple 3d modeler.
Why work on another project when you can contribute to an already great one (Blender) and improve upon it, I am sure that there are tons of feature that the developer of this free open source could've added to the community without having to reinvent the wheel, unless they have a different vision and philosophy for 3D that I am not aware of.

It's not for Composing in 3D!
It does compositing too. If this isn't an alternative, you might want to take Nuke off as well
