Basically an open-source, free alternative to Microsoft OneNote for Linux. It lacks the OCR and Super-tabbed features of OneNote, but if you are looking for something pretty close to OneNote for Linux, this is it.

brings the WHOLE KDE stack with it!

Do yourself a favor, check MyTetra out. Its also Qt4, but its

  • developed
  • just Qt4, without all that dep crap.

And it has almost all features of Basket.

at this stage I can't see that MyTetra is really an alternative for Basket. It looks like the developer is working on a new version , but it's not yet out.

Version 2.0 Beta 2 was released in March 2010. I wish they'd develop BasKet for GNOME as well as KDE.

Brilliant program for ordering notes but unfortunately it lacks some important useful features like easily syncing your notes. For example netbook taking notes then syncing with main pc. The project also appears to be abandoned too. last news post was early 2008!
