The face of Techlore, Henry Fisher, is someone who strives for digital rights for all. I've been following him lately and I've noticed that he is very transparent with us about which software he uses. This list features his 'possible' setup for both work and private use. (I hope he sees this and likes it!)
My guess is that he uses an iPhone with the least amount of memory (if 64gb was an option, he would choose it). He has used a Pixel with GrapheneOs but I guess he doesn't use it anymore.
iOS is a mobile operating system designed by Apple for its iPhone and iPad devices. It offers a user-friendly interface, intuitive features, and seamless integration with other Apple products. With iOS, you can access a wide range of apps, games, and multimedia content, as well...
With Lockdown Mode enabled.
The best browser for your Mac is the one that comes with your Mac. Safari is faster and more energy efficient than other browsers. Handy tools help you save, find, and share your favorite sites. Built-in privacy features help keep your browsing your business.
Only option due to Lockdown Mode. Otherwise he would use Brave. In general, he is not very satisfied with the options and quality of mobile browsers.
Privacy-focused search engine offering Zero-click Info, instant answers, and more, built from open-source software for a user-friendly experience.
The most privacy-focused option in Safari although Henry doesn't like the search results.
An encrypted messaging app focused on privacy, supporting texts, calls, photos, videos, files, and group chats, with no ads or trackers.
This is the messenger he uses by far the most because it is very user-friendly.
Secure Swiss-based email with end-to-end encryption and zero third-party access. Available across devices, offering a free version to promote privacy.
He's been using Proton services for a very long time so I think he is loyal to them.
Open-source, end-to-end encrypted backup and sharing for photos and videos, with multi-platform sync, original quality, privacy controls, and collaborative albums.
This or just Apple Gallery, I don't know.
Generates, stores, and encrypts two-factor authentication tokens, enables secure backup, offers offline access, multi-device sync, and flexible import/export options.
Because it is a cross platform TOTP and it has simply been around longer than Proton Auth.
I don't know if he even has this setup but if he could chose, it would probably look like this.
Fedora creates an innovative, free, and open source platform for hardware, clouds, and containers that enables software developers and community members to build tailored solutions for their users.
His favorite Linux distro if he didn't switch.
The Mullvad Browser is a privacy-focused web browser developed in a collaboration between Mullvad VPN and the Tor Project. It’s designed to minimize tracking and fingerprinting. You could say it’s a Tor Browser to use without the Tor Network.
He once said that his browsers are: 70% Mullvad, 29% Brave, 1% Tor. There is a possibility that he know fully switched to Brave.
Fast, secure browser with built-in ad block, privacy controls, and global tracking protections. Optimizes data, speed, and battery life.
His favorite browser in general.
Swiss-based VPN that ensures online privacy with a high-speed network, advanced encryption, and no-logs policy, offering a free version. Supports multiple platforms and unblocks content worldwide.
Brave extension 1: he currently doesn't use a system-wide VPN.
A password manager that ensures identity and password security with rigorous, end-to-end encryption, built by scientists from CERN, and recommended by the United Nations.
Brave extension 2: he might be putting a lot of eggs in Protons basket.
NextDNS protects you from all kinds of security threats, blocks ads and trackers on websites and in apps and provides a safe and supervised Internet for kids — on all devices and on all networks.
Thanks to the customization and the free tier.
Delivers private, independent search with an exclusive index, no tracking or profiling, transparent result ranking, browser integration, and image search.
He made a video about search engines and he ended up with liking Brave search after years using Duckduckgo.
The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, it prevents the sites you visit from learning...
That 1% of the time.
Take potentially dangerous PDFs, office documents, or images and convert them to safe PDFs.

On-premises file sync, universal access, integrated collaboration, real-time communication with privacy and data control focus.
He would say: 'Own your f* s**t.
There are the some services that he uses for private and for work but I don't repeat them in this list.
Unix-based operating system for Macs, excels with an intuitive UI, robust built-in apps like Safari, and strong security via FileVault, Gatekeeper, and SIP.
For editing.
Experience a privacy-focused, open-source browser rich with features like vertical tabs, Split View, Zen Glance, and extensive security protocols. Built on Firefox, it's currently in beta, emphasizing privacy and adaptability, with future plans for horizontal tabs.
I've seen him using this browser in a live for easy split-view.
Secure email hosting with webmail, IMAP, and POP protocols, ideal for individuals and businesses. Includes junk mail protection, file sharing, and 1Password integration.
At work things need to go fast and that's what the name says.
Open-source suite for editing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, and PDF files with co-editing modes, plugin support, AI assistant, and integration across 40+ platforms.
He prefers this to Libreoffice for the design and layout.
Emphasizes privacy with end-to-end encryption, Proton Drive safely stores, synchronizes, and shares files across devices via web and mobile applications.
Proton is doing a decent job with Proton Business.
It would be awesome if he reacts to this list in a live. Thank you Techlore for inspiring me!
