Safari. The best way to see the sites.
What is Safari?
The best browser for your Mac is the one that comes with your Mac. Safari is faster and more energy efficient than other browsers. Handy tools help you save, find, and share your favorite sites. Built-in privacy features help keep your browsing your business. Apple Pay in Safari lets you shop safely and simply. And Safari works with iCloud to let you browse seamlessly across all your devices.

bonkintimethinks Mozilla Firefox is an alternative to Safari
Hands down the best web browser for
macOS. It's way more lightweight, fast and less ressource hungry than
Google Chrome and
Mozilla Firefox. It's less customizable and has less extensions than the competition but it's enought for 95% of the people.
i think safari works just fine, i have been using it for a while now and is my go-to browser, never fails.
Not open source.
Behind Chromium and Firefox but usable if you have basic needs...
Although I like Safari on the Mac, it has no way of blocking any cookies whatsoever (third-party, or any others). Nor does it have a way of deleting history. SHAME. Granted, I have yet to find an actual browser that allows you to REALLY block cookies (even though they have settings that say to block cookies - those cookies still get set)
Safari can do that. You can delete your history with two clicks in the menu. Besides blocking third-party stuff on a per-site basis you can even block all cookies of the whole web, if desired.

best browser for Apple devices and best for security and privacy overall.
Trash that hinders the development of the Internet. Safari does not properly support WebP, so we are still using trashy GIF.
This is factually wrong information. See caniuse.com or Safari 14 (released 2020) release notes.
