SeaTicket is an open-source, AI-powered support center built by SeaCloud Labs, the team behind Seafile. It’s released under the Apache 2.0 license, so you can use their cloud or self-host it. It is meant for open-source projects, software and SaaS teams, and anyone supporting a community alongside paying customers.
The problem it addresses. Support questions arrive on GitHub, Discord, forums, and email, so there’s no single place to track them. Context gets lost, past solutions are scattered across tools, and the same questions get answered again and again.
How it works
Question synced. GitHub issues and PRs, Discord forum posts, Discourse topics, and support emails sync in automatically, so public threads and private requests are handled side by side.
Context built. AI agents search related issues, past cases, and your knowledge base to understand the full picture.
Answer drafted. The agent suggests a reply, a ticket, or a classification. It never sends anything on its own, because your team approves, edits, or discards every suggestion.
Replied and learned. An approved reply posts back to the original thread, and the resolution can be saved to the knowledge base for next time.
Key features
Unified workspace. It syncs with the channels your users already use, so nobody has to switch tools.
Ticketing when needed. If a question needs an engineer, it becomes a ticket with full context attached, an owner, internal discussion, and progress tracking.
Knowledge base. Approved answers become searchable knowledge that both your team and the agents reuse.
Broad integrations. GitHub, Discord, Discourse, email, websites, Notion, Confluence, Seafile, Linear, and Jira.
Self-hosting. You can run it on your own infrastructure and keep support data under your control.
Pricing model. There is a free cloud plan and no per-seat pricing, so every plan includes unlimited team members. Paid plans scale issue volume and AI credits.
How it differs from a traditional helpdesk. Zendesk, Freshdesk, and Intercom are built around a central ticket queue and typically charge per seat. SeaTicket starts from the channels where people already ask for help and adds one place for AI-assisted analysis and tracking on top.
