One decade and a half ago we would laugh about JS, now JS is probably considering all its supersets the most used language.
One of the best and most popular languages in the world.
There are other programming languages listed as alternatives to JavaScript like Java.. Java is not an alternative to JavaScript. They are two different languages used for two different purposes. And it's generally considered that 1 is a back-end language while the other front-end. For this list to be relevant it should be limited to what's actually practical.
JavaScript is awesome. Multiplatform, constantly evolving, multipurpose... If only it could mix drinks!
Its class definition and most new feature syntaxes are somehow weird and different than rest popular standarts especially C-like. If it was a design choice then it could be respected but design choices have appropiate reasons however these choices have not much of them in JS case. Having so much frameworks are kinda proof that because it certainly have something does not fit at all.
This definitely is the future. I usually collaborate different languages according to my needs and its perfect.
