Powertoys provides a good Windows Manager (i.e. Fancy Zones) alternative to Windows Grid that was not updated for monthes. This tool is pretty cpu/memory efficient also. a MUST have for any power user
I feel like I'm late to the game with PowerToys, but I also feel like Microsoft did the same.
I've been using QTTabBar for file previews, ShareX for OCR, and a few other programs that I won't replace with PowerToys version.
The features that I use and enjoy are pin to top, ability to measure pixel dimensions, power run, and fancy zones.
It's very powerful. Great graphics and useful tools, but I would like a bit more features on it.
Love this little tool. Add a lot of powerful features, that should be actually integrated on windows. PowerToys Run is my favorite, a file finder that uses Wox, but Color Picker and FancyZonez are also highly recommended
Just saw it but not actually tried it. It includes several piece of software. I possibly will install to only use Fancy Zones. Image resizer's feature is weaker than HoneyView. Keyboard Manager looks promising as it can customize simple shortcuts visually which won't make me learn AutoHotKey again every time I need customization. PowerRename seems weaker than QTTabbar. PowerToys Run looks not so customizable compared to other application launchers at the moment. In all, they still need major improvement. Maybe will become an option for "hardcore" users in 2 years.
FancyZones is awesome! (some GUI issues on the PT-BR localization)
-Currently alpha state (tons of issues) -Built-in MS traditional telemetry -Requirements Windows 10 1803 (build 17134) or later -High resource usage
