    • Free, multiple platform, and probably the richest set of functionality, other than Microsoft Office Word. Word improved recently for the Mac, but is still not as good as on Windows, but LibreOffice is pretty much the same everywhere. Google Docs and IBM Docs are probably closest, otherwise, and have web forms. Apache OpenOffice seems to be losing momentum, would be nice if the code bases would merge, they'd focus on a combined effort. Guest • Jan 2018 • 2 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • LibreOffice is the best free alternative to MS Office I have tried. It offers all I need in word processing software. It has a smart modern interface and does not require a steep learning curve if you are accustomed to MS Office. A truly great package. Guest • Apr 2018 Disagree   Agree
    • It is cross platform which is very useful when you need to edit a document in either windows, gnu/linux, and mac. Microsoft Office is not able to run on gnu/linux for now. 9y0xwefhpwApr 2018 Disagree   Agree
    • Freedom. If you care about that go for LibreOffice. Also you've got pretty much the same common feature, which is quick enough for everyone. Word stay good if you really want to go deeper in some modificatio, but it's really not worth the price (alone without Office 365). Guest • Apr 2017 • 1 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
