What is Microsoft Outlook?
Microsoft Outlook, part of the Microsoft 365 Copilot (not to be confused with
Microsoft Outlook Express), is a personal information manager that lets you manage your e-mail, calendar, contacts, and tasks.
Outlook is included in Office Home (one-time purchase), Office 365 (monthly or yearly subscription) or available as free app for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
- Focus on the right things with our smart inbox — we help you sort between messages you need to act on straight away and everything else.
- Swipe to quickly schedule, delete and archive messages.
- Share your meeting availability with just a tap and easily find times to meet with others.
- Find everything you're looking for with our new search experience, including files, contacts, and your upcoming trips.
- View and attach any file from your email, OneDrive, Dropbox, and more, without having to download them to your phone.
- Bring all the apps you love in Outlook, including Facebook, Evernote, Trello, and more.
- Open Word, Excel, or other Office document attachments to edit them directly in the corresponding app and attach them back to an email.
Outlook for mobile works with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Outlook.com (including Hotmail and MSN), Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and iCloud.

Comments and Reviews
Syncs with Microsoft's products well, and great interactions with other email providers
This is silly. I want a lightweight alternative to the Outlook Client so I don't have to choose between running that piece of crap or the piece of crap exchange site. Gmail an alternative mail server, and a great one, but it is not an alternative to the outlook client.
This needs subcategories.
Your lightweight alternative to the Outlook is
Thunderbird
which also has portable version. Must have app!!!
Thunderbird lightweight? Steven777 must be joking.
I would actually use Outlook for Mac, because I'm used to Outlook for windows through my work, even if the Mac version lacks some of the functionality (stupid example of Windows trying to force you into buying a Windows pc, Mac does this all the time).
BUT in the Mac version, you cannot send images in a mail as attachments!!! They always come up inline. And there is No. Way. To. Change. This. It drives me crazy? Why would you make such a stupid decision?
Still can't sync with Google Contacts even after years of broken promises. Sticking with Thunderbird as it's 99% of what I want.
Outlook is the best email, calendar, and contacts client I've come across. Unfortunately I'll be dropping it because it's now bundled with their version of AI to steal your email contents and contacts.
One of the best mail software that exist. A lot of functionalities that allows me to keep a good organization, and be focused on the subjects that matter the most.
Microsoft Outlook does not have an option to select by character instead of by the entire word.

Also, when I search for emails according to who they're from, strangely Outlook for Mac often does not return all of the emails. I tried this in Outlook for Web, and it returned additional emails not returned by Outlook for Mac.
Also, in Preferences – Accounts, I set my default account to my work email. But when I click New Items – New Email, Outlook sets the From address to my home email. I tried swapping the default account back and forth and restarting Outlook.
Outlook syncs with my Google Calendar. I deleted an instance of a recurring event in Google Calendar. I didn't expect to get any notifications in Outlook. But Outlook displayed a reminder which said I was overdue for a different instance of the recurring event.
I heard the new email sound, and I found a new email in my inbox. But I did not get a visual notification of the subject of the email. I verified that both Outlook preferences and System Preferences had notifications enabled.
