What is MacOSCleaner?

MacOSCleaner is a free native SwiftUI suite for Apple Silicon (macOS 26.0+; Intel not supported). It combines Smart Cleanup, a forensic app uninstaller, a navigable disk analyzer, duplicate finding, and process/startup tools.

Smart Cleanup covers 55 categories and 1,887 paths across 275+ apps and 86 toolchains (Xcode DerivedData/Simulators, Docker prune, Homebrew, Cursor/VS Code, Claude Code, Ollama, and more), with risk badges and review before delete.

The forensic uninstaller uses 30 evidence types (Bundle ID, Team ID, Spotlight, Launch Services), confidence tiers, leftover review, and an orphan scanner. The disk analyzer uses honest APFS allocated sizing and Trash via macOS trashItem.

Zero telemetry, no cleanup daemons, on-device Apple Intelligence explanations. Source-available under GPLv3 + Commons Clause (personal/non-commercial; commercial resale prohibited; commercial license from the author). Do not call it OSI-pure open source.
