What is Google Sheets?
Google Sheets, part of Google Drive , is an online spreadsheet app that lets you create and format spreadsheets and simultaneously work with other people. Here's what you can do with Google Sheets:
• Import and convert Excel, .csv, .txt and .ods formatted data to a Google spreadsheet. • Export Excel, .csv, .txt and .ods formatted data, as well as PDF and HTML files. • Use formula editing to perform calculations on your data, and use formatting make it look the way you'd like. • Chat in real time with others who are editing your spreadsheet. • Create charts with your data. • Embed a spreadsheet — or individual sheets of your spreadsheet — on your blog or website.

Comments and Reviews
I like GSheets but it is not intuitive always
Fast, always online, with decent mobile apps and really good collaboration features. I just...don't trust Google's servers with my data anymore.
I used it a lot in the 2010s, but went back to using
LibreOffice and my own cloud sync.
Apps Script makes Sheets the ultimate spreadsheet. Programming nerds should love this app.
For example, I have a script that, every time an edit is made, it updates one column's date to today's for that row (essentially making a "last edited" timestamp by row). It then copies each sheet's last edited time to the main sheet (essentially a "table of contents").
I'm not a fan of browser apps, but its simplicity and support for custom named ranges/functions is what makes it so much better than all other spreadsheet apps.
Very decent! Most features are here. Some new features.
Google Sheets is a pretty solid program for being free and on the cloud. I really like the program, and although it's not intuitive all the time, you can find a lot of the shortcuts and formulas through Google. Not as good as Excel, but still pretty awesome!
Works well. Loads quickly and reliably. Lots of export options. Good cell formatting and formulae. Accessible via an API too.
