Great design, minimalistic looks. If you are in the Apple ecosystem is great. The downside is that it has no extension for example LastPass for password manager and DF Tube for YouTube, if you can live without extensions... its a great browser.

No proper executable (exe) file to install it, you should compile it to be able to install Ungoogled Chromium on Windows.

onkoe It is like Brave in that it has all the features of Chrome without the Google connections, but unlike Brave in that it has absolutely no bloatware included. Ungoogled-Chromium is my favorite Chromium-based browser!

Image and video quality are bad due to the fact it's missing tons of proprietary codecs and plugins. It doesn't matter if you put a video quality in 4K, it still looks like 420p and edges look harsh and not full quality.

For Windows there is only a ZIP file, where's the exe file? Also, I have found no way to update it. From where would you download the extensions since the Chrome Web Store is broken? Proprietary codecs and DRM are also other problems in this browser.

JohnFastman Chrome fans will do well to realise that Chrome is proprietary and contains a lot of code designed to spy on what you do online, correlate this with the rest of your Google account data and use it to make money. Iridium, on the other hand, takes the Chromium codebase and specifically removes privacy-invading parts. Unlike Chrome, Iridium is open source, so you can check the code yourself, if you wish. Some functionality is reduced (e.g. Flash) but in that case try Vivaldi.

One thing I miss from Firefox is the Bookmarks side panel. Slimjet has one if you press Ctrl+I although you can't drag-and-drop from the URL to the side panel. The main reasons I run Slimjet is an alternative to my company's modified version of Chrome on my company laptop, so I have my own profile loaded instead of my work profile, and because it seems to handle some sites better than Firefox.

henkeMe This app does not have the look and feel of a modern web browser. Certainly not a serious replacement for Google Chrome. It is lacking in far too many features (shortcuts and more) to be a viable alternative. Useless toy? Or a bad practical joke? Try the Iridium browser and see if you understand what I mean!
