Comment summary: Midori receives mixed reviews, particularly concerning its performance on Windows. Many users report frequent crashes and stability issues over the years. However, positive comments around 2024 note improvements, faster speeds, and better features, with mentions of significant updates and support from Microsoft. The browser is appreciated for its light quality and open-source nature, yet its extension support and crash issues have been recurring criticisms.

I am impressed with the change that Midori has had, now it is faster, faster and much more stable, 100% recommended.

The Windows version is far from lightweight, in fact it consumes more memory than Firefox and Chrome. Stability issues as well as a dearth of extensions limits its use. A good project but not ready yet for serious users.

I'm impressed with the transformation of Midori compared to years ago. It has become a fully-featured browser with a lot of customization options. The features I liked the most are the WebApps and the smaller title bar compared to Firefox.

Recently (October 2024), Astian announced that Microsoft is supporting the Midori project, so I hope to see significant improvements in the future.

Updated 2024: It fell way behind slimjet and most of the browsers I tested it against for speed.
