You can use Foam for organising your research, keeping re-discoverable notes, writing long-form content and, optionally, publishing it to the web.
Foam is free, open source, and extremely extensible to suit your personal workflow. You own the information you create with Foam, and you’re free to share it, and collaborate on it with anyone you want.

Said about Foam as an alternative
Another VSCode-based solution for note-taking using local markdown files. Unlike Dendron it's not focused on hierarchies and relies on links and backlinks for structuring notes.
It utilises the full power of VSCode and is overall more pleasant to use
Org mode came first (open standard), then Roam (open standard), then Obisdian (propretiary app on the open standard). So anything built on Roam is a good Obsidian alternative.
