Odi is a note-taking and personal knowledge app in the spirit of Obsidian and Notion, where a notes acts as a store of information or an interactive plugin you create to get things done.
Every note is a real file: Markdown, HTML, CSS, JavaScript or CSV. Images, PDFs and web clips are stored as files too. Notes link to each other with [[wikilinks]] and embed one another with ![[name]], in a live-preview editor. Every save is a revision you can restore, deleted notes can be recovered, and every automated change is logged.
An HTML note runs in a sandbox as an app plugin. It only gets the permissions you grant it, and you can take them back at any time. The built-in assistant writes these plugins for you and shows each change as a diff for you to approve, or you can get community created plugins as well. Odi also runs an MCP server, so Claude Code and Claude Desktop can work in your workspace.
You can also handwrite on a page with pressure-sensitive pens, or record audio and get a searchable transcript. Odi installs as a progressive web app on desktop and mobile, and you can publish a set of notes as a public website.
