Waterfox VS Mozilla Firefox
Is Waterfox a good alternative to Mozilla Firefox?Comments about Waterfox as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
AkinoWaterfox is made for x64 (amd64) CPUs, and it also delivers you a fine service concerning privacy, firstly devs removed telemetry and tracking implented recently in Firefox. Secondly it supports old extensions and pocket was removed
24John FastmanIt depends what you want from a Firefox alternative. Waterfox is essentially identical to Firefox, except that it's a 64-bit, not a 32-bit browser. It's still open source and fully compatible with all options, extensions and everything else.
15Dated when compared to actual Firefox, some extensions doesn't work properly due to it being based on a old version of Firefox.
6qasuk834wWhile Firefox is already less secure than Chromium based browsers, they are at least trying. Waterfox is based on a very old version of Firefox without the latest security fixes and tends to be behind for a very long time. Therefore i wouldn't recommend to use Waterfox at all if you want a secure browser.
0Shaz ShahIn my short time of experimenting with this, I find that Waterfox performs very well. There's the bonus of it being more secure than Firefox, with all the telemetry items disabled, and not using Google for it's default search engine (giving more choice).

Brave VS Mozilla Firefox
Is Brave a good alternative to Mozilla Firefox?Comments about Brave as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Ola JohanssonIt's great with a browser that is trying to solve the issue with ads on the web AND the issue that publishers needs money to build cool sites.
-1John FastmanCurrently (March 2017), Brave is not a mature project. It's an open-source privacy-oriented browser and very fast. But you rely on the developers to provide most of the privacy settings, and you can't install extensions. Firefox remains much more customizable via it's about:config menu options.
4Their privacy claims go as far as Facebook saying "we don't sell your data". You are tracked by cryptocurrency companies (Uphold & Brave rewards), they can ask for ID card as well. In the end this is just Chromium with a build-in ponzi scheme; slower and less private too.
23Been using this ever since it first came out and loving it.
0RemovedUserI consider Brave a better option than Mozilla because it has better privacy OOTB. Firefox is a great browser, and I use it as a backup when things don't go right in Brave. But that does not happen frequently.

Pale Moon VS Mozilla Firefox
Is Pale Moon a good alternative to Mozilla Firefox?Comments about Pale Moon as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
pefadoBest Good Old Firefox! Pale Moon is the what Firefox should be!
3John SmithIt is really light and fast.
3Michal D.Cons:
- as base is used a very old version of Firefox
- bad user experience (interface)
- an very old (and probably already unsupported) version of Sync
- no support for modern plugins, extensions and themes
0Coco MarkPros: Very light. Also very secure. Decent community support, plus old firefox extensions. Open source. Cons: Old version of firefox as base. (solves this: mypal, new experimental version) Bad UI. (solves this: mypal, experimental) no support for modern extensions, themes, plugins, etc (solves this: mypal, again) not available on XP and Vista even though it's light enough for that. (solves this: god damn it mypal again) my rating: 7/10, i would use it as a secondary browser
0TerriToniAXPoor support for plugins, making it useless as you cannot block out distracting ads.

LibreWolf VS Mozilla Firefox
Is LibreWolf a good alternative to Mozilla Firefox?Comments about LibreWolf as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Hasan YildizIt is suitable for everyone's use. Download and try.
3Álvaro AyresThe best alternative to Firefox. Unlike other forks, LibreWolf is compiled from the newest version available. Privacy out-of-the-box, no Pocket, no telemetry, uBlock Origin installed with the browser.
5alternativepun3nIts a hardened Version of Firefox, which works out of the box and is usable for almost everyone. Documentation on changes they made to Firefox is also nice and helpful. All in all a very comfortable way oft using a hardened Firefox.
1RemovedUserdon't confuse this with librefox (that was last updated back in 2018), this is a new build that has portable variation (provided launcher that you can register as a browser in Windows). releases sits at https://gitlab.com/librewolf-community/browser/windows/-/releases (other OS available)
4ionmarmaladeThis thing is a joke... A tragic fork of Firefox that restricts choices and breaks so many functions which are not recoverable with modification no matter how much you dig into the backend. Not to mention so many red flags as to how they themselves are using the program to syphon data on its users. Don't use it, unless you want them to sell your data.

Chromium VS Mozilla Firefox
Is Chromium a good alternative to Mozilla Firefox?Comments about Chromium as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
John FastmanChromium is the core of the Chrome browser. It functions well enough as a browser but lacks some of Chrome's features (e.g. built in language translator). Even though Chromium is open source, it still "phones home" to Google, which has privacy implications. There are more private Chromium-based browsers, such as Brave and Iridium.
31SiliconeValleyChromium is most likely the heart of Google Chrome, Opera and some browsers without fancy features.
3Chromium doesn't have DRM features and some codecs implemented like Google Chrome, it's open-source but all your data goes to Google when you use Chrome Store to download apps since there is no Chromium store. Also, this browser is hard to install on Windows, you have to compile or download versions that are created by the users daily, so it means you do not have a proper installer like on Linux/BSD.
22CuruxaNot similar IU, less security and privacy, no DRM, hard to install if you use Windows and you must use instead a random version of this like I googled chromium. Also it doesn't have the same support of Firefox, nor custom support, nor a good webstore ...
0TerriToniAXNot even remotely similar to Firefox. For starters, in Chromium-based browsers there is no real address bar, but instead a combined address bar/search box, which causes every uri you type in here to leak to search engine providers. Secondly, it takes a plugin to disable tabbed browsing, instead of simply unchecking the box "open new pages in a tab instead of a window" as you can do in Firefox.

Comments about Vivaldi as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Vivaldi is simply the next stop for Firefox users, while it is freeware, it is technically closed and open-source. Some of the browser's components are closed while some are open and the source codes are available on Vivaldi's website.
Vivaldi's user interface offers a multitude of customizations that can only be duplicated on other browsers by installing add-ons.
There's no good reason to use a closed source browser like Vivaldi when there are so many open source alternatives on this page.
Except that it is chromium based, unfortunately.
I this Mozilla Firefox is a very Good Browser Very effective
