Waterfox is made for x64 (amd64) CPUs, and it also delivers you a fine service concerning privacy, firstly devs removed telemetry and tracking implented recently in Firefox. Secondly it supports old extensions and pocket was removed

Dated when compared to actual Firefox, some extensions doesn't work properly due to it being based on a old version of Firefox.

Waterfox is a decent Firefox alternative that performs well and provides some additional settings for modifying the UI. Please note it's based on Firefox ESR, which is why it's behind the latest Firefox version. Right now it's based on ESR 128 while the latest Firefox is 142. If you want the latest Firefox, use LibreWolf.

Comments about Vivaldi as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Comment summary: While Vivaldi is praised for its speed, customizability, and unique features reminiscent of older versions of Firefox, concerns arise due to its closed-source nature tied to Chromium and lack of full privacy features and add-on synchronizations. Firefox is favored by users who seek open-source, standalone alternatives. Some users find Vivaldi inferior in handling tab management and criticize its limitations in comparison with Firefox and operating system integrations.

Vivaldi is simply the next stop for Firefox users, while it is freeware, it is technically closed and open-source. Some of the browser's components are closed while some are open and the source codes are available on Vivaldi's website.

Faster than Firefox in my experience (especially on my phone), and as a spiritual successor to the original Opera browser, my preferred Chromium browser. Even though the front-end isn't open source, Vivaldi seems more trustworthy than Brave, Opera or Google these days.

Comments about Chromium as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Comment summary: Many users criticize Chromium for lacking Firefox's features, privacy, and ease of installation on Windows, highlighting its need for user-generated versions and absence of DRM. Despite being open-source, users note privacy concerns as it still communicates with Google. Positive comments mention Chromium as the foundation for browsers like Chrome and Opera, with features like HTML5, CSS3, and addons. However, opinions stress that it requires further implementation for consumer readiness.

Chromium is the core of the Chrome browser. It functions well enough as a browser but lacks some of Chrome's features (e.g. built in language translator). Even though Chromium is open source, it still "phones home" to Google, which has privacy implications. There are more private Chromium-based browsers, such as Brave and Iridium.

Chromium doesn't have DRM features and some codecs implemented like Google Chrome, it's open-source but all your data goes to Google when you use Chrome Store to download apps since there is no Chromium store. Also, this browser is hard to install on Windows, you have to compile or download versions that are created by the users daily, so it means you do not have a proper installer like on Linux/BSD.

Comments about Brave as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Comment summary: Brave is praised for its privacy features, speed, built-in ad-blocker, and integration with Tor. However, some users express concerns about its dependency on the Chromium engine and potential tracking issues. Mozilla Firefox, while still appreciated, is seen as less convenient for privacy out-of-the-box compared to Brave. Concerns include recent changes in Firefox and an increase in ads. Brave appeals as a Chromium-based, privacy-conscious alternative, but some users criticize its crypto-focused approach.

Currently (March 2017), Brave is not a mature project. It's an open-source privacy-oriented browser and very fast. But you rely on the developers to provide most of the privacy settings, and you can't install extensions. Firefox remains much more customizable via it's about:config menu options.

Like it or hate it, Edge has evolved into a worthy rival for all at the top of the Blink-based web browser heap, and for those that have to operate on Microsoft environments with multiple sets of Microsoft credentials, its intuitive maintenance and switching of profiles to suit the task underway is an absolute game changer. It's become more tightly integrated with Outlook and has begun feeling like a co-equal member of the Office suite constituents.

Proprietary, made by a profit company based on spy it users, cannot custom, not equivalent like about:config in Firefox, cannot disable telemetry or see code, so it is a black box. Shitty add-ons, Chrome is killing Third party and also going to kill third add-ons... Performance is ok but I don't see difference with Firefox (in Linux also Firefox is WAY BETTER in performance) Don't support monopolist companies.
