Tor Browser VS Brave
Is Tor Browser a good alternative to Brave?Comments about Tor Browser as an Alternative to Brave
coralinecastellThe most privacy-oriented browser there is. However, due to its learning curve and different setup, it's easier to use by the power user. If you don't want to learn how to use Tor, go with Firefox. Brave collects your data and displays you ads.
5Tor is the ultimate browser no matter what, its safe, lets you access the clear web and dark web with ease. Its also fast, stylistic and overall a great choice.
5DuplicakeThis is not for everyday use. It's super slow and just isn't for normal use.
-1kurifoxenTor is levels ahead of brave if you value extreme privacy and dont want to be tracked at all, its also actively developed
-1kdakdkzxobincewjvjTor browser is for ultimate paranoia privacy. Brave is for general, every day use.

Vivaldi VS Brave
Is Vivaldi a good alternative to Brave?Comments about Vivaldi as an Alternative to Brave
Lu9Every feature Brave spends hundreds advertising to you is present here, minus the crypto and the sketchiness of the Brave brand. Since both are chromium based, Vivaldi is the better option. Been following the project since the early beginnings!
-1it can do everything, is highly customizable, super fast etc. I've been using it for years now!
-1choomaqueNot privacy-focused. No built-in ad and tracker blocker.
1AdderReason I don't think Vivaldi is comparable to Brave. Unfortunately I have plenty of time to read up on websites and almost All the top privacy tech sites and others have stated Vivaldi applies user ID when you first sign up. Similar to bing. Myself I'm computer illiterate, so I read everything I can find on interested item. But some of these people I've trusted their advice on different items, and so far they been "Bullseye accurate. Browse safe and secure, community
1I like the customized features and flexibility

Is Waterfox a good alternative to Brave?Comments about Waterfox as an Alternative to Brave
Very much privacy focused and there are many great plugins. Read up on how to shut off WebRTC, it is simple and protects your privacy.
5Similar to FireFox, it does NOT share any information, it's basically like FireFox on steroids (in a good way). I personally use Waterfox and I think it is really good.

Chromium VS Brave
Is Chromium a good alternative to Brave?
Comments about Mozilla Firefox as an Alternative to Brave
Security, no tracking, no surveillance, no spying, tons of add-ons and overall great design.
Brave may block third-party trackers, but it collects data on you and will gladly share your information with third-parties, as shown by Switched to Linux. Mozilla, on the other hand, doesn't collect data on you unless you allow them, and you can download extensions that block third-party trackers.
Because the tracking prevention is way worse. The extension page with recommended extensions, for example, sends telemetry data to Google. Also, Google is the default search engine, which just screams tracking to me.
It has a very good synchronization and security service.
Not privacy focused. Doesn't block ads by default. It requires addons to do it. Google is the default search engine, non private engines like Bing and DuckDuckGo are the only alternatives and there is no way to add custom search engines like Searx instances. It doesn't have a built-in crypto wallet. It doesn't have built-in IPFS client. It doesn't have a built-in Torrent client. UI is not customizable.
