Great, now you can write without all that tedious thinking about what you want to write and how to say it. Not really what I'm looking for in a blogging tool.
Upvoted a comment on Nextpad++Be cautious. Owner attempted to steal the name(+logo)/TRADEMARK Notepad++ for his own benefit. Basically attempted to steal the identity of Notepad++ by presenting his project to look like it's the official (by Notepad++ developers) port. Even the domain he used for the project (notepad-plus-plus-mac.org) was the EXACT mirror of the Notepad++ domain (notepad-plus-plus.org) - its only differentiation being that '-mac' was added at the end. Oh yeah, he chose '.org' too.

Thinks these are alternatives- MapCompleteStreetComplete
StreetComplete and MapComplete are pretty similar, though they each handle a different set of map features. I tend to use both: MapComplete for the destinations, and StreetComplete for the roads and paths connecting them.
- StreetCompleteMapComplete
Similar, and handles a different set of features. I find SC works better for the roads and paths, while MC often works better for the destinations. (ex. does this place have a restroom, what kind of charging station is this, etc.)
- MapCompleteStreetComplete
Reviewed MapComplete★★★★Similar to StreetComplete, but handles a different set of map features. I use both to edit OSM, depending on what I'm mapping. SC is better for marking sidewalks, lighting, street parking or building info. MC is better for tagging what kind of EV charger is at a location, whether a place has public restrooms, etc. The mobile app seems to be basically a wrapper around the website app (which works well as a PWA), but that wrapper makes interactions like uploading photos more reliable.

The linked WebProNews article doesn't seem to match the forum announcement or archives, the Hacker News discussion, or a year's worth of search results at Reddit or Hacker News. It's all about the reaction to a full service shutdown coming up in...July 2025...with only 30 days' notice...but dated today. With quotes from the forums about the short notice. I'm guessing someone saw the "no more development" discussion on Hacker News and directed an LLM to write an article and it hallucinated the...
- Added 'support-for-large-files' as a feature to Hex Fiend
Reviewed Hex Fiend★★★★★Hex Fiend can open, search and edit multi-gigabyte files. Seriously. I mean, you need a machine with enough RAM for that, but I've been able to edit an 8+ GB file with zero slowdown. Most apps choke on that much data.
Liked Hex FiendIt’s rather amusing how large-scale web scraping — even when it includes copyrighted material — is framed as “transformative and legitimate learning” when done by a closed company, yet when open-source models distill the behavior of a proprietary system, it suddenly becomes “theft.” The underlying technique is the same: extracting statistical patterns from available data. Apparently, though, ethics shift depending on the software license. When the model is closed, learning is an exclusive...
